ISLAMABAD: A wave of sorrow and sympathy has swept across Pakistan following the untimely death of Marvi Khursheed Malik, the beloved daughter of Senator Sherry Rehman. The loss has deeply affected political circles and the public alike, prompting numerous prominent figures to extend their condolences and support to the grieving family during this profoundly difficult time.

Among the first to publicly express his sorrow was President Asif Ali Zardari, who conveyed his heartfelt sympathies through a message posted on his official social media account. The President mourned the passing of Marvi Malik and offered prayers for her soul’s eternal peace. He also implored for strength and resilience for Senator Sherry Rehman and her family, recognizing the immense pain that accompanies such a personal tragedy.

In addition to the President, several high-ranking officials from across the country voiced their condolences. Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, along with Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Governor Sardar Saleem Hyder, expressed their grief and solidarity with the bereaved family. Similarly, Balochistan’s Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti conveyed his sympathies, highlighting the widespread impact of this loss beyond political affiliations.

Further extending the circle of support, Amir Muqam, Federal Minister and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, shared a message of deep sorrow. He emphasized his personal connection to the grief experienced by Senator Sherry Rehman and her family, praying that Almighty Allah grants Marvi Malik a lofty place in Jannat-ul-Firdous. Muqam also wished for patience and fortitude to be bestowed upon the family as they navigate this heartbreaking period.

The expressions of condolence were not limited to mainstream political leaders. Abdul Hameed Lone, a senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), also issued a statement mourning the loss. He described the sudden passing as a profound tragedy and extended his heartfelt prayers for the departed soul. Lone underscored the collective grief felt by many and assured the family of solidarity and support during their time of mourning.

This outpouring of sympathy from across the political spectrum and beyond reflects the respect and affection held for Senator Sherry Rehman and her family. It also highlights the shared human experience of loss that transcends political divides, uniting people in compassion during moments of sorrow. As the nation stands with the family, many continue to pray for healing and strength in the face of this heartbreaking event.
