Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir made a significant visit to the Kurram region to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 alongside the troops and officers stationed there. This gesture not only highlighted his solidarity with the armed forces but also underscored the importance of morale and unity during such a sacred occasion. The Field Marshal personally led the Eid prayers, invoking blessings for the enduring stability, prosperity, and peace of Pakistan.

During his time with the troops, Field Marshal Munir engaged in heartfelt interactions, extending warm Eid greetings to all ranks. He took the opportunity to commend the soldiers and officers for their unwavering dedication, exceptional professionalism, and high spirits despite the challenging environment. His visit served as a morale booster, reinforcing the critical role the armed forces play in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and maintaining internal security.

In recognition of their courage and resilience, the Field Marshal praised the valiant efforts of the troops, particularly highlighting their achievements during Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq. This operation was instrumental in dismantling terrorist networks that threaten peace in Pakistan’s border areas. He emphasized that militants using sanctuaries across the border in Afghanistan will never be allowed to jeopardize Pakistan’s security and stability. This firm stance reflects the country’s ongoing commitment to counterterrorism and regional security.

Furthermore, Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to fostering peace and stability in the region. He made it clear that Afghan territory must not serve as a base for hostile elements targeting Pakistan. This statement aligns with Pakistan’s broader diplomatic and security policy aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence while firmly countering any threats emerging from across the border.

Appreciating the relentless efforts of the formations deployed in these sensitive areas, the Field Marshal attributed the operational successes to the supreme sacrifices made by the nation’s martyrs. He acknowledged the unwavering resolve and commitment of officers and soldiers who continue to work tirelessly for the greater cause of national security. His words reflected deep respect and gratitude for their service and dedication.

Upon his arrival in Kurram, Field Marshal Munir was warmly welcomed by the Corps Commander Peshawar, symbolizing the strong coordination and unity within the military leadership. The visit not only reinforced the Armed Forces’ resolve to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity but also highlighted the personal involvement of the Chief of Defence Staff in boosting the morale of frontline troops during significant national and religious occasions.
