Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar is scheduled to visit Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from March 18 to 19. This visit comes at the invitation of the Saudi Foreign Minister and is centered around a crucial meeting involving foreign ministers from various countries in the region. The gathering aims to address pressing geopolitical and security challenges currently impacting the Middle East and its neighboring areas.

During this high-profile summit, Ishaq Dar is expected to voice Pakistan’s unwavering support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political independence of all allied nations within the region. This stance reflects Pakistan’s long-standing commitment to fostering stability and mutual respect among neighboring states. The Foreign Office in Islamabad highlighted that the Deputy Prime Minister will strongly advocate for an immediate cessation of all hostile actions and attacks targeting these countries, emphasizing the need to safeguard peace and security.

Moreover, Ishaq Dar will reiterate Pakistan’s urgent call for an end to ongoing conflicts that have destabilized the region. He will stress the importance of resuming dialogue and diplomatic engagement as the only viable path toward sustainable peace. This approach aligns with Pakistan’s broader foreign policy objectives, which prioritize negotiation and peaceful conflict resolution over military confrontation.

In addition to these points, the Deputy Prime Minister will underline Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic efforts aimed at contributing positively to the resolution of the current security crisis. Islamabad’s desire to play a constructive and pivotal role in facilitating peace talks and regional cooperation will be a key highlight of his address. This visit underscores Pakistan’s strategic interest in maintaining harmonious relations with its neighbors and supporting collective security frameworks.

It is worth noting that this meeting comes at a time when the region faces multiple challenges, including territorial disputes, political unrest, and security threats. Pakistan’s participation signals its readiness to engage with regional partners to promote dialogue and stability. The outcomes of this summit could have significant implications for future diplomatic initiatives and peace-building efforts in the Middle East and South Asia.
