Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar is scheduled to visit Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from March 18 to 19, to participate in a high-level meeting of foreign ministers from various regional countries. This important gathering has been convened at the invitation of the Saudi Foreign Minister, reflecting Riyadh’s ongoing efforts to foster dialogue and cooperation among neighboring states amid a complex geopolitical landscape.

During the summit, Ishaq Dar is expected to voice Pakistan’s unwavering support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political independence of all friendly nations in the region. The Foreign Office in Islamabad emphasized that Pakistan remains firmly committed to upholding the principles of respect and non-interference, urging an immediate cessation of all hostile actions and attacks that threaten regional stability.

In addition to reaffirming these core positions, the Deputy Prime Minister will stress the urgent need to bring an end to the ongoing conflicts that have destabilized parts of the region. He will advocate for a renewed focus on dialogue and diplomatic engagement as the most viable path toward sustainable peace. Pakistan’s stance highlights its desire to contribute constructively to resolving the security challenges that continue to affect neighboring countries.

Moreover, Ishaq Dar plans to outline Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic outreach, underscoring the country’s readiness to play a meaningful role in facilitating peaceful solutions. His participation in the meeting aligns with Islamabad’s broader foreign policy objectives of promoting regional harmony and cooperation, especially in times of heightened tension and uncertainty.

This visit comes at a critical juncture when regional dynamics are rapidly evolving, and the international community is closely watching efforts to de-escalate conflicts. Pakistan’s engagement in Riyadh signals its commitment to being an active stakeholder in shaping a more secure and stable environment for all countries involved.
