Prince Harry’s Spokesperson Denounces New Biography as ‘Deranged Conspiracy’

A recently published biography about Prince Harry has sparked fresh controversy, with the prince’s spokesperson vehemently dismissing the book’s claims as a “deranged conspiracy.” The biography alleges that Queen Camilla once remarked that Prince Harry had been brainwashed by his wife, Meghan Markle. This assertion has intensified the ongoing public scrutiny surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s strained relationship with the British royal family.

Since stepping back from their official royal duties in 2020 and relocating to California, Harry and Meghan have remained figures of intense fascination both within the United Kingdom and internationally. Their departure from royal life marked a significant rupture, and the couple’s interactions with the rest of the royal family have reportedly been minimal and fraught with tension ever since. The new book, authored by Tom Bower—who has a history of writing detailed biographies about members of the royal household—delves into the origins and development of these familial conflicts.

The book reveals that the discord between Harry and Meghan and the other senior royals began not long after their widely celebrated wedding in 2018. the excerpts published in a leading British newspaper, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have become almost estranged from the rest of the family, with Harry having limited contact with his father, King Charles, in recent years. This distancing has been a source of considerable speculation and concern among royal watchers and the public alike.

Furthermore, the biography suggests that Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, were deeply unsettled by Meghan’s influence over Harry, viewing her as a destabilizing factor within the family dynamic. The book quotes Queen Camilla, Harry’s stepmother, as having confided to a friend that Meghan had effectively brainwashed the prince. This claim, however, was met with strong condemnation from Harry and Meghan’s spokesperson, who criticized the author’s narrative as crossing the boundary from legitimate critique into obsessive fixation.

In addition to the internal family disputes, the book touches on Harry’s reaction to the scandal surrounding his uncle, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Andrew’s fall from grace—marked by the loss of his titles and eviction from royal residences due to his association with the late convicted American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein—reportedly left Harry fearful that he might face a similar fate of exclusion within the royal institution. This element adds another layer of complexity to the already strained relations within the family.

Responding to the book’s allegations, the spokesperson for Harry and Meghan issued a pointed statement, emphasizing that those seeking factual information should look elsewhere, while those interested in sensationalism and conspiracy theories would find ample material in Bower’s work. The statement underscored the couple’s frustration with what they perceive as a persistent and unfair media fixation on their private lives.

Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace has chosen not to comment on the matter on behalf of King Charles and Queen Camilla. Similarly, representatives for Prince William and Kate Middleton have not issued any immediate responses to the claims made in the biography. As this story continues to unfold, it highlights the enduring complexities and challenges faced by the British royal family in managing both internal relationships and public perceptions.
