The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy in Kuwait has issued an important advisory regarding a disruption in the freshwater supply affecting parts of the Maidan Hawally area. This interruption stems from a break detected in one of the major freshwater pipelines servicing the region, prompting immediate action from the authorities to address the issue.

Following the discovery of the pipeline damage, specialised maintenance crews were swiftly deployed to the site to carry out necessary repairs. These teams are working diligently around the clock to fix the break and minimize the inconvenience caused to residents. The ministry emphasized that while the repair work is underway, there will likely be a temporary reduction in the availability of freshwater in Maidan Hawally and the adjacent district of Salmiya.

Residents in these affected neighborhoods have been advised to prepare for a short-term decrease in water pressure and supply. The ministry has urged the public to conserve water during this period to help manage the limited resources effectively. It is expected that once the repairs are completed, the water supply will return to normal levels promptly.

In its official communication, the ministry expressed gratitude to the community for their patience and understanding as the maintenance teams continue their efforts. The ministry also reassured citizens that restoring full water service is a top priority and that all necessary measures are being taken to expedite the repair process.

This incident highlights the critical importance of maintaining Kuwait’s water infrastructure, especially in densely populated urban areas like Maidan Hawally and Salmiya. The government continues to invest in upgrading and safeguarding essential utilities to ensure uninterrupted services for its residents. Meanwhile, authorities remain vigilant and ready to respond swiftly to any future infrastructure challenges that may arise.
