The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has officially revealed the schedule for its highly anticipated 11th season, which is slated to take place from March 26 to May 3. This season promises to be one of the most exciting yet, as it will feature a total of 44 matches spread over more than a month of intense cricketing action. Fans across the country are gearing up for what is expected to be a thrilling tournament with expanded participation and new venues.

One of the most notable changes for PSL 11 is the expansion of the league from six to eight teams. This marks a historic moment in the league’s evolution, as two new franchises — the Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi — have been introduced. Their inclusion not only broadens the competitive landscape but also brings fresh energy and regional representation to the tournament. This expansion reflects the growing popularity and commercial success of the PSL, which continues to attract investment and talent.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also announced that matches will be hosted in six different cities, further diversifying the tournament’s geographical footprint. For the first time ever, Faisalabad and Peshawar will serve as venues for PSL matches, a development that is expected to boost local enthusiasm and cricketing infrastructure in these regions. The opening game will take place at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, setting the stage for a high-profile start to the season.

During the league phase, each team will compete in 10 matches, battling for a spot in the playoffs, which are scheduled to commence on April 28. The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will play a significant role by hosting 11 matches, including one of the crucial qualifier games. Meanwhile, Gaddafi Stadium will be the busiest venue, staging 15 matches throughout the tournament, underscoring Lahore’s status as a cricketing hub.

The inclusion of new venues is a major highlight this season. Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad will host seven matches, marking its debut as a PSL venue, while Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar will also welcome PSL action for the first time. This expansion into new cities is part of the PCB’s broader strategy to promote cricket nationwide and engage fans beyond the traditional centers. Additionally, Multan Cricket Stadium is set to host four matches, and the National Bank Stadium in Karachi will accommodate six games, ensuring a well-distributed schedule across the country.

Adding to the excitement, the tournament will feature 12 double-header days, where two matches will be played back-to-back. This format is expected to draw large crowds and television audiences, offering fans more cricketing entertainment on a single day. Overall, PSL 11 is shaping up to be a landmark season with its expanded team roster, new venues, and packed schedule, promising thrilling moments for cricket enthusiasts across Pakistan and beyond.
