The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the initiation of the 33rd wave of its military campaign, dubbed Operation True Promise 4. This latest phase has been named “Labbaik Ya Khamenei,” a direct tribute to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, underscoring the ideological motivation behind the offensive. The IRGC revealed that this wave involved the targeting of Tel Aviv using advanced Kheibar Shekan missiles, each armed with devastating one-tonne warheads.
In addition to striking Tel Aviv, the IRGC confirmed that the operation also included attacks on the United States Navy’s Fifth Fleet Headquarters. This move highlights the ongoing confrontation between Tehran and Washington, as the US Fifth Fleet is a critical naval command center in the Persian Gulf region. The IRGC asserted that all launched Kheibar Shekan missiles successfully hit their intended targets, signaling a significant display of precision and military capability.
Meanwhile, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has provided an overview of its recent military actions against Iran over the past ten days. CENTCOM reported that more than 5,000 Iranian targets have been struck during this period, reflecting the intensity and scale of the conflict. The US military emphasized that over 50 vessels belonging to the Iranian Navy were either destroyed or suffered severe damage as a result of these operations, aiming to diminish Iran’s naval strength in the strategically vital waterways.
Officials from the US military have indicated that the current campaign prioritizes locations deemed to pose immediate threats to regional security and US interests. The airstrikes have involved a formidable array of strategic bombers, including the B-1 Lancer, B-2 Spirit, and B-52 Stratofortress, showcasing the extensive aerial firepower deployed. Additionally, a range of fighter jets such as the F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon, F/A-18 Super Hornet, F-22 Raptor, and the stealthy F-35 Lightning II have been actively engaged in the strikes, demonstrating a coordinated and multifaceted air assault strategy.
This latest escalation comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, where Iran’s missile capabilities and regional ambitions continue to challenge US and allied forces. The IRGC’s naming of the operation after Supreme Leader Khamenei reflects the deep-rooted political and ideological dimensions fueling the conflict. As both sides intensify their military actions, the risk of further escalation remains a pressing concern for regional stability and international diplomacy.
