The investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie has taken a technological turn as law enforcement officials now focus on data emitted by her heart pacemaker. Detectives are exploring the possibility that signals from the device could provide vital clues about her whereabouts. This new approach comes as part of a broader effort to piece together the timeline and movements surrounding her mysterious vanishing.

In recent developments, experts have been attempting to detect Bluetooth signals transmitted by Nancy’s pacemaker. Medical professionals have confirmed that certain pacemakers can connect wirelessly to smartphones or other devices to relay health information. Utilizing specialized equipment, investigators hope to capture any lingering signals that might help narrow down her location or reveal patterns in her movements prior to her disappearance.

Dr. Laurence Epstein, a cardiologist affiliated with Northwell Health, clarified that while pacemakers do emit signals, they are not designed to function as GPS trackers. The range of these signals is typically limited to a few meters, meaning that any connection to a phone would only occur when the two devices are in close proximity. available data, the last recorded connection between Nancy’s pacemaker and her mobile device occurred on February 1, suggesting that after this date, the devices were separated.

Alongside the technological investigation, police have released footage from a doorbell camera capturing a masked individual standing on Nancy’s front porch. Authorities suspect the person may be a man carrying a black backpack, though the identity remains unknown. Despite this lead, no arrests have been made, and the investigation continues to rely on piecing together various forms of evidence to build a clearer picture of the events.

Nancy Guthrie, who is notably the mother of television personality Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing on February 1. She had been dropped off at her residence in Arizona the previous evening. When family members were unable to contact her the following day, they alerted the police, prompting an extensive search operation. The case has drawn significant public attention, with officials urging anyone with information to come forward as the search presses on.
