Security Forces Eliminate 13 Fitna-ul-Khawarij Terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations

In a decisive move against militancy, Pakistan’s security forces executed a series of intelligence-driven operations over two days, March 6 and 7, targeting Fitna-ul-Khawarij terrorists across various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These coordinated efforts led to the elimination of 13 militants linked to the outlawed group, marking a significant blow to their operational capabilities in the region.

One of the key operations took place in Bajaur, where security personnel successfully raided a known hideout of the Khawarij militants. This targeted strike resulted in the death of five terrorists, dismantling a critical hub used for planning and executing terror activities. Meanwhile, separate operations in Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan districts neutralized three additional operatives affiliated with the Indian-backed Fitna-ul-Khawarij faction, underscoring the multi-district reach of these counterterrorism efforts.

Further operations in the Khyber District and South Waziristan yielded the elimination of five more militants. These individuals were reportedly involved in various acts of terrorism that threatened the stability and security of the region. Authorities also recovered a significant cache of arms and ammunition from the deceased terrorists, which highlights the ongoing efforts by these groups to arm themselves and perpetuate violence.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi lauded the professionalism and unwavering commitment of the security forces involved in these operations. He emphasized that the forces have once again disrupted the malicious plans of the Fitna-ul-Khawarij terrorists operating within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Minister Naqvi expressed his respect and gratitude towards the personnel, stating that these militants will find no refuge anywhere in the country.

He further acknowledged the challenges posed by the region’s proximity to the Afghan border, which often complicates security dynamics. Despite these difficulties, the Interior Minister reaffirmed the government’s and security forces’ steadfast resolve to restore and maintain peace throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This commitment is crucial for the socio-economic development and stability of the area, which has long been affected by insurgency and cross-border threats.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reiterated that such intelligence-based operations will persist as part of the broader strategy to safeguard Pakistan’s borders and neutralize any emerging threats. The armed forces remain vigilant and determined to dismantle terrorist networks that seek to destabilize the country. These recent successes demonstrate the effectiveness of coordinated security measures and the ongoing dedication of Pakistan’s military and law enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism.
