Kuwait Denies Incident Near Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port Amid Iran War Tensions

The Ministry of Interior in Kuwait has firmly dismissed recent reports circulating across various media platforms and social networks that suggested an incident took place in the vicinity of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port. In an official statement, the ministry clarified that these claims are unfounded and misleading. They emphasized that the event in question actually occurred well beyond Kuwait’s territorial waters, at a distance of no less than 60 kilometers from the port.

This clarification comes amid heightened regional tensions linked to the ongoing conflict involving Iran, where misinformation can easily escalate concerns. The ministry urged both the public and media outlets to exercise caution and to rely exclusively on verified information disseminated by authorized government bodies. This call for responsible reporting underscores the importance of preventing unnecessary panic and maintaining public trust during sensitive times.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy has reported progress in restoring critical infrastructure affected by recent hostile activities. Specifically, high-voltage overhead power lines running along the Sixth Ring Road suffered damage due to debris from drones. Technical teams have successfully completed repairs on these lines, ensuring the resumption of stable electricity supply in the affected areas.

Efforts are ongoing to address similar damage caused by drone shrapnel to high-voltage lines located in southern Kuwait. These lines had also been temporarily taken offline as a precautionary measure. Despite these challenges, officials have reassured the public that the national electricity grid remains robust and stable, with contingency plans in place to mitigate any further disruptions.

It is worth noting that Kuwait’s swift response to these incidents highlights the country’s commitment to safeguarding its infrastructure and maintaining normalcy amid regional instability. The government continues to monitor the situation closely, coordinating with security and technical teams to ensure the safety of its citizens and the integrity of essential services.
