Sarah Ferguson Relies on Friends for Shelter After Losing Royal Windsor Home Amid Epstein Scandal

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has reportedly been staying with close friends after being compelled to leave her long-standing royal residence. This upheaval comes in the wake of mounting pressure on the royal family linked to the ongoing legal and public fallout involving her former husband, Prince Andrew, and his controversial connections to the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Though Ferguson and Prince Andrew officially divorced in 1996, the couple maintained an unusual living arrangement by continuing to reside together at the Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate for many years. However, recent developments surrounding Andrew’s legal battles and the resurfacing of Epstein-related allegations have dramatically altered their circumstances. These events have intensified scrutiny on the royal household, leading to significant changes in their living arrangements.

It is understood that King Charles III, Andrew’s elder brother and the reigning monarch, has played a decisive role in the decision that resulted in Andrew losing access to the Royal Lodge. This move appears to be part of a broader effort by the monarchy to distance itself from the scandal and mitigate reputational damage. Consequently, Sarah Ferguson has found herself without her familiar home and has turned to her network of friends for temporary accommodation.

Among those reportedly offering support is actress Priscilla Presley, highlighting the Duchess’s connections within celebrity and social circles. Ferguson has frequently spent time in New York City, where she has cultivated friendships and participated in various social engagements over the years. Despite this, sources indicate that the recent intensification of scrutiny around Epstein-related communications has made some of her acquaintances hesitant to openly associate with her at this sensitive time.

Insiders reveal that while many people hold Ferguson in high regard personally, the stigma attached to anyone linked to the Epstein scandal has made hosting her a delicate matter. “Everyone’s telling her that now’s not a good time,” one source explained. “A lot of people actually really like her, but being associated with anyone connected to Epstein just isn’t wise right now.” This reflects the broader caution within social and public spheres as the Epstein saga continues to unfold.

Meanwhile, Sarah Ferguson’s family is also navigating the fallout. Her younger daughter, Princess Eugenie, who resides in New York, along with her elder sister, Princess Beatrice, are reportedly trying to keep a low profile and maintain distance from the controversy. The sisters appear keen to avoid being drawn into the ongoing media storm surrounding their father and the wider Epstein-related scandal, underscoring the personal toll the situation has taken on the family.
