Hundreds of Pakistanis Repatriated via Gabd Rimdan Amid Ongoing Iran Conflict

In the wake of the ongoing conflict in Iran, a significant number of Pakistani nationals have been successfully repatriated over the past several days. The Gabd Rimdan border crossing has served as a critical transit point, facilitating the safe return of 456 Pakistanis, among them 156 students, who had been stranded due to the escalating war conditions. This marks the fourth consecutive day of organized repatriation efforts aimed at bringing citizens back to their homeland.

The Deputy Commissioner of Gwadar provided detailed figures on Tuesday, confirming that on this particular day alone, 136 individuals made their way across the border, including 25 students who had been pursuing their education in Iran. These efforts underscore the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens caught in the crossfire of regional instability. The returnees have been receiving assistance to facilitate their onward journey to their respective hometowns across Pakistan.

It is worth noting that the repatriation process has been carried out under the direct supervision and instructions of Sarfaraz Bugti, who has emphasized the importance of smooth and efficient handling of all arrivals at the border. Authorities have been coordinating transportation and providing necessary support to ensure that the returnees face minimal hardship during their journey back home. This operation highlights the logistical challenges involved in managing large-scale cross-border movements during times of conflict.

Since the outbreak of hostilities in Iran, Pakistan has been actively monitoring the situation and working closely with border officials to facilitate the safe evacuation of its nationals. Many of those returning are students who had been studying in Iranian universities, as well as other civilians who found themselves unable to continue their stay due to the deteriorating security environment. The government’s swift response reflects its priority to protect its citizens abroad and bring them back to safety.

Looking ahead, authorities are expected to continue these repatriation efforts until all stranded Pakistanis have been accounted for and safely returned. The Gabd Rimdan border remains a vital gateway in this humanitarian operation, symbolizing hope and relief for many families anxiously awaiting the return of their loved ones. Meanwhile, officials remain vigilant and prepared to manage any further influx of returnees as the situation in Iran evolves.
