Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has unveiled the most recent statistics concerning the ongoing military campaign, Operation Ghazab Lil Haq. Speaking from Islamabad, Tarar emphasized that the operation is advancing steadily and effectively, meeting its strategic goals aimed at countering hostile elements along the border region.
Highlighting the operation’s impact, the minister revealed that Pakistani forces have successfully neutralized 481 fighters affiliated with the Afghan Taliban. In addition to those killed, more than 696 insurgents sustained injuries during the coordinated military efforts. These figures underscore the intensity and scale of the operation, which has been conducted with precision to dismantle militant infrastructure.
Moreover, Tarar detailed the destruction of 226 enemy checkpoints, a critical blow to the Taliban’s control and mobility in the contested areas. Pakistani troops have also seized control of 35 strategic checkpoints, further consolidating their hold and disrupting the militants’ supply and communication lines. This territorial gain marks a significant step in restoring security and stability to the region.
The minister also reported the elimination of a substantial number of enemy assets, including 198 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery guns. The destruction of such heavy weaponry considerably weakens the Taliban’s combat capabilities and diminishes their ability to mount large-scale offensives. This success was bolstered by targeted aerial strikes, which hit 56 locations deep inside Afghanistan, inflicting severe damage on enemy defensive positions and infrastructure.
Attaullah Tarar stressed that the primary objective of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq remains the protection of Pakistan’s national security interests. The operation is designed to deliver a decisive and robust response to ongoing threats posed by militant groups operating across the border. He assured that military actions will persist relentlessly until all designated targets are fully neutralized, ensuring long-term peace and security in the region.
It is worth noting that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq represents a critical phase in Pakistan’s broader counterterrorism strategy, reflecting the government’s commitment to eliminating insurgent threats and safeguarding its citizens. The operation’s progress has been closely monitored by both military leadership and civilian authorities, highlighting the importance of coordinated efforts in combating terrorism.
