The Pakistan Cricket Board has officially unveiled the schedule and team rosters for the upcoming ABS Developers National T20 Cup 2026, which is slated to commence on Saturday, March 7. This year’s tournament will be hosted at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar, a venue that recently gained prominence after hosting nine Quaid-e-Azam Trophy matches during October and November 2025. The event promises intense competition as it features 23 matches spread over ten days, culminating in the semi-finals on March 17 and the final showdown scheduled for March 18.

The tournament brings together ten regional teams representing various cities and regions across Pakistan. These squads include Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Karachi Whites, Karachi Blues, Lahore Blues, Lahore Whites, Multan, and Sialkot. The teams have been divided into two groups, each comprising five teams. Group A features Lahore Whites, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Karachi Whites, and Bahawalpur, while Group B consists of the defending champions Lahore Blues, Sialkot, Multan, Abbottabad, and Karachi Blues. The format is straightforward: the top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion to the competition.

During the group stage, two matches will be played daily from March 7 through March 16. The first match of each day is scheduled to begin at 4:15 pm Pakistan Standard Time (PKT), followed by the second match at 9:15 pm PKT. The final match on March 18 will start at 8:00 pm PKT, with the coin toss taking place half an hour earlier at 7:30 pm. This scheduling allows fans across the country to enjoy prime-time cricket action every evening, making it convenient for viewers and attendees alike.

Each team’s squad has been carefully selected, blending experienced players with emerging talents and guest players to strengthen their chances. Abbottabad, led by captain Khalid Usman, boasts notable names such as Khushdil Shah and Shadab Khan as guest players, alongside promising youngsters like Shahzaib Khan. Bahawalpur’s squad, captained by Muhammad Imran, includes guests like Daniyal Hussain Rajput and Haider Ali, while Faisalabad, under Muhammad Irfan Khan’s leadership, features players like Asif Ali and several under-21 talents.

Karachi Whites, captained by Saud Shakeel, and Karachi Blues, led by Muhammad Ghazi Ghori, both bring competitive lineups with a mix of seasoned campaigners and young prospects. Lahore Blues, the defending champions, are captained by Saad Nasim and include key players such as Mohammad Rizwan and Qasim Akram. Lahore Whites, under Aamir Jamal, and Multan, led by Imam-ul-Haq, also present strong squads with a balance of experience and youth. Peshawar, captained by Mohammad Rizwan, and Sialkot, led by Usama Mir, round out the competition with squads featuring a blend of established players and emerging stars.

It is worth noting that the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar has rapidly become a favored venue for domestic cricket, given its modern facilities and enthusiastic local support. Hosting the National T20 Cup here not only highlights the city’s growing importance in Pakistan’s cricketing landscape but also provides a platform for local fans to witness high-quality cricket firsthand. As the tournament unfolds, all eyes will be on the players as they vie for glory and the chance to impress selectors for future national team opportunities.

With the excitement building ahead of the opening match, cricket enthusiasts across Pakistan are eagerly anticipating a thrilling and competitive National T20 Cup. The combination of regional pride, emerging talent, and seasoned performers promises to deliver memorable moments over the course of this prestigious domestic tournament.
