Khawaja Asif Warns of Israeli Expansion Near Pakistan Amid Iran Conflict

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has voiced serious concerns regarding the ongoing conflict involving Iran, asserting that the underlying motive is to expand Israeli influence dangerously close to Pakistan’s frontiers. He highlighted that despite Iran’s willingness to negotiate and reach an agreement, the war was nevertheless thrust upon the country, suggesting a larger geopolitical design at play. This statement reflects growing apprehensions about regional stability and the shifting balance of power in South Asia and the Middle East.

In a detailed message shared on the social media platform X, Khawaja Asif described Zionism as a significant threat not only to the Islamic world but to humanity as a whole. He traced the roots of many crises and conflicts in the Muslim world back to the establishment of Israel on Palestinian land, emphasizing that since then, Zionist ideology has been a driving force behind numerous wars and political upheavals. him, this influence extends beyond politics into the global economic system, which he claims has been under Zionist dominance for over a century, with major world powers effectively held hostage to this influence.

Turning his focus to Pakistan, the Defence Minister underscored the country’s status as a nuclear power and praised the armed forces for their global respect and recognition. He paid homage to the sacrifices made by Pakistan’s martyrs and veterans, acknowledging their vital role in preserving the nation’s sovereignty and security. Furthermore, he expressed admiration for the leaders who contributed to Pakistan’s nuclear program, particularly commending former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his bold decision to conduct nuclear tests, which he described as a pivotal moment in safeguarding Pakistan’s defense capabilities.

Khawaja Asif reiterated his belief that the conflict imposed on Iran is part of a broader Zionist strategy aimed at extending Israeli influence all the way to Pakistan’s borders. He warned that this agenda is not limited to Iran alone but also involves neighboring countries such as Afghanistan and India, which he accused of harboring hostile intentions toward Pakistan. him, these nations are part of a concerted effort to destabilize Pakistan’s borders, isolate the country regionally, and reduce its sovereignty by encircling it with adversaries. This, he argued, is a deliberate attempt to weaken Pakistan and make it dependent on external powers.

Highlighting the gravity of the situation, the Defence Minister called upon all 250 million Pakistanis, regardless of their sectarian affiliations or political beliefs, to recognize this alleged conspiracy and unite against these external threats. He stressed the importance of national solidarity in the face of such challenges, urging citizens to look beyond internal differences and focus on the common goal of protecting Pakistan’s integrity and independence.

Concluding his remarks, Khawaja Asif prayed for unity across the Muslim world, emphasizing the need for collective awareness to identify true adversaries. He also expressed hope for the liberation of Palestine, framing it as a crucial cause for Muslims worldwide. Finally, he invoked a prayer for Pakistan’s enduring strength and resilience, underscoring the country’s strategic importance and the necessity of standing firm against any attempts to undermine its sovereignty.
