ISLAMABAD: The government is actively coordinating the repatriation of the bodies of three Pakistani citizens who lost their lives in Somalia, following instructions from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The remains of Syed Kashif Umar, Ahmed Ansari, and Rafiullah have reached Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
At Addis Ababa, Ethiopian Airlines personnel are finalizing the necessary procedures to secure clearance for transporting the bodies to Karachi. Relevant authorities remain in close communication to expedite the process, ensuring the repatriation is completed as soon as possible.
In a significant development, the Prime Minister personally conveyed his condolences to Azhan Kashif, son of Syed Kashif Umar, during a telephone call on Saturday. He assured him that the government is committed to providing full support and taking all required measures to bring the bodies back to Pakistan promptly.
