Kuwait International Airport has started the process of returning to regular operations after experiencing a drone attack that disrupted its services and inflicted limited damage on some of its facilities. The Civil Aviation Authority of Kuwait confirmed that the incident occurred two days ago, prompting an immediate response from various government agencies to contain the situation and safeguard everyone present at the airport.

Following the attack, security personnel, military units, and administrative staff quickly coordinated to evacuate the premises and activate emergency protocols designed to protect passengers, airport employees, and critical infrastructure. The swift mobilization of these teams played a crucial role in preventing any casualties and minimizing the impact on airport operations.

Army units, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and the Civil Aviation Authority, conducted thorough inspections of the affected areas to verify that the site was secure and free from any further threats. These joint efforts ensured that the airport could begin the process of damage assessment and initiate necessary repairs without compromising safety.

Officials are currently evaluating the extent of the damage caused by the drone strike, focusing on debris clearance, structural repairs, and adjustments to operational procedures to facilitate a smooth return to full functionality. The authorities have emphasized their commitment to restoring all services as quickly as possible, minimizing inconvenience for travelers and maintaining the airport’s role as a vital hub for international and domestic flights.

This incident has underscored the high level of preparedness and professionalism demonstrated by Kuwait’s security and military agencies. Their rapid and coordinated response highlights the state’s dedication to protecting essential infrastructure and ensuring the safety of its citizens and residents, even in the face of unexpected threats.

In light of the current security concerns both within Kuwait and across the region, the Ministry of Interior has announced precautionary measures aimed at enhancing public safety. Among these are temporary bans on fishing trips and outdoor gatherings, reflecting the government’s proactive stance in preventing any further incidents and maintaining order during this sensitive period.
