Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar has assured the public that Pakistan’s technical teams are fully engaged in countering a series of ongoing cyberattacks targeting the country’s digital infrastructure. These cyber intrusions have raised significant concerns, prompting immediate action from cybersecurity experts who are working tirelessly to identify the sources behind suspicious messages circulating on various online platforms. The government’s commitment to safeguarding national security remains unwavering as these investigations continue.

Minister Tarar emphasized that these hostile cyber activities appear to be orchestrated by adversaries unsettled by Pakistan’s steadfast resilience in the face of challenges. He underscored the state’s determination to thoroughly investigate and neutralize these threats, reinforcing the message that any attempts to undermine the country’s stability will be met with a firm response. This development comes amid a broader context of heightened regional tensions, which have further complicated the security landscape.

On the diplomatic front, the Minister highlighted Pakistan’s proactive stance following recent attacks on Iran. The Foreign Office has officially condemned these strikes, signaling Islamabad’s concern over escalating conflicts in the Gulf region. In response to Iran’s retaliatory actions against Gulf nations, Pakistan has initiated high-level diplomatic engagements with key regional partners to coordinate a unified and measured response aimed at de-escalating tensions. This approach reflects Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to peace and stability in its neighborhood.

Expressing profound sorrow over the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, Minister Tarar conveyed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Iranian people during this difficult period. He reiterated Islamabad’s preference for resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy rather than conflict. The Minister’s remarks underscore the delicate balance Pakistan seeks to maintain in managing its foreign relations amid a volatile regional environment.

In terms of international diplomacy, the Minister announced that the Prime Minister’s much-anticipated visit to Russia has been postponed after careful consideration and consultations with senior officials. Although the trip is of strategic significance for Pakistan’s foreign policy, the current regional uncertainties necessitated a delay. The government plans to reschedule the visit in coordination with Russian authorities once the situation stabilizes, ensuring that the engagement yields maximum benefit for both nations.

Meanwhile, the safety and well-being of Pakistani citizens abroad remain a top priority for the government. Several students have already been safely repatriated from Iran, with additional transportation arrangements underway to assist others stranded due to the ongoing unrest. Minister Tarar also mentioned that efforts are underway to mitigate security threats emanating from the Taliban regime, reflecting Islamabad’s broader security concerns in the region.

Concluding his remarks, the Minister stated that Pakistan’s leadership is carefully evaluating long-term policies to navigate the complexities of the current geopolitical and security challenges. The government remains focused on protecting national interests while striving to maintain regional peace and stability during these turbulent times.
