At least four individuals lost their lives and 20 others were injured when a tractor trolley transporting a wedding party collided with a trailer on the national highway in Rahim Yar Khan. The incident took place on the Rukanpur stretch of the highway.
Rahim Yar Khan District Police Officer Irfan Ali Samoo confirmed that the tractor trolley, carrying the wedding guests, crashed into the trailer, resulting in multiple casualties. Among the injured were women and children, many of whom sustained serious injuries.
Emergency response teams, including police and rescue personnel, promptly arrived at the scene to conduct relief and rescue operations. The deceased and injured were transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment and necessary medico-legal procedures.
Initial investigations indicate that the accident may have been caused by negligence and carelessness on the part of the tractor driver. However, authorities continue to investigate to establish the precise cause and circumstances surrounding the collision.
