A district and sessions court in Rawalpindi on Wednesday ordered judicial remand for the two primary suspects in the murder case of Hina Javed. Hina, a digital media executive, was discovered dead in her home located in Rawalpindi’s Lalkurti area on August 20, with her body tied to a shower in the bathroom.
The suspects, Hina’s husband Faisal Asghar and their domestic worker Zeeshan, appeared before Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Qasim Javed following the completion of a four-day physical remand. During the proceedings, the police requested judicial custody for both individuals, which the court approved, directing that they be sent to jail.
Authorities allege that Faisal Asghar murdered his wife with the help of Zeeshan. Notably, Zeeshan has admitted to strangling Hina amid a marital dispute between her and Asghar. Earlier, on August 29, the Rawalpindi court had extended the physical remand of both suspects by four days to allow further investigation into the case.
investigators, Zeeshan revealed that Hina attempted to escape during the confrontation, but he and Asghar restrained her. Meanwhile, police stated that Hina’s father-in-law had initially contacted them, reporting a burglary at the residence. Upon arrival, officers found Hina’s body tied to the shower in the bathroom, confirming the tragic circumstances of her death.
