    The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) is set to conclude its peacekeeping mission on December 31, marking a significant shift in the security landscape of the region. Established in 1978, UNIFIL has played a critical role in maintaining a fragile ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, helping to prevent escalations along the border.
