Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir recently conducted a series of important meetings with the defence ministers of Turkey and Saudi Arabia during his official visit to Turkey. In addition to these key engagements, Field Marshal Munir also held talks with Turkey’s foreign minister and the Turkish Chief of General Staff. These meetings underscored the commitment of Pakistan and Turkey to deepen their strategic partnership and address shared security concerns.
Meanwhile, the army chief took part in a session of the Strategic Committee, which was established under the Makkah Agreement. This committee plays a crucial role in coordinating defence policies and fostering closer military ties among Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia. The meeting reviewed ongoing efforts to strengthen strategic coordination and expand defence cooperation across the three allied nations.
