Security forces successfully neutralized two terrorists linked to Fitna al-Hindustan during an intelligence-driven operation in the Palantak area of Washuk district, Balochistan. This operation is part of the broader ongoing campaign, Operation Rad-ul-Fitna, aimed at dismantling India-backed terrorist networks active in the province.
The eliminated militants were reportedly involved in attacks on the Mashkel police station and the Customs House. During the encounter, security personnel destroyed the terrorists’ vehicle and seized weapons and ammunition from their possession. These arms were reportedly intended for use in targeted killings of unarmed Baloch civilians and other violent activities.
Authorities have affirmed their commitment to continuing operations against Fitna al-Hindustan militants until the threat is fully eradicated from Balochistan. The province, along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), has experienced a notable rise in terrorist incidents since 2021, coinciding with the Afghan Taliban’s takeover.
In a significant development, a report by the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) highlighted that KP and Balochistan remained the epicenters of violence in Pakistan during the second quarter of 2026. Together, these provinces accounted for approximately 96% of all violence-related fatalities nationwide. KP alone recorded over 61% of these deaths, totaling 475, while Balochistan accounted for 34%, with 265 fatalities.
Moreover, KP witnessed the highest number of violent incidents, with 151 cases representing 57% of the country’s total, followed by Balochistan with 94 incidents, or 35%. These figures underscore the persistent concentration of militant activity in these two regions.
