The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has taken significant steps to support the families affected by a tragic coal mine accident in Shangla. In a recent relief effort, the NDMA distributed financial assistance to the relatives of the miners who lost their lives in the incident.

Specifically, 34 families received relief cheques amounting to Rs2 million each. This aid is part of the federal government’s broader initiative to provide immediate and substantial support to those impacted by the disaster. The distribution was carried out by an NDMA team on the ground in Shangla, ensuring that the assistance reached the rightful heirs promptly.

In a significant development, the federal government also expressed its deep sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved families. Officials emphasized their ongoing commitment to extend all necessary help during this challenging period, highlighting the importance of standing by the victims’ families in the aftermath of such tragedies.

This relief distribution underscores the government’s proactive approach to disaster management and victim support, aiming to alleviate the financial burdens faced by families who have suffered immense loss. The gesture reflects a continued focus on humanitarian aid and recovery efforts in regions affected by industrial accidents.
