Pakistan’s left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the ongoing National Champions Cup 2026. Demonstrating exceptional skill and consistency, Afridi has claimed 13 wickets across just four matches, setting himself apart from other bowlers in the tournament.

Throughout the competition, Shaheen has bowled a total of 33.3 overs, conceding 138 runs, which translates to an economical rate of 4.11 runs per over. His bowling average stands at an impressive 10.61, highlighting his effectiveness in dismantling batting line-ups. Notably, his best bowling figures in the tournament so far are 7 wickets for 36 runs, a performance that underscores his match-winning capabilities.

Following Afridi in the wicket-taking charts are Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Wasim Jr, each having secured eight wickets. Hasan Ali has contributed seven wickets to his team’s efforts, while Shahnawaz Dahani has taken six wickets in three matches, maintaining a strong presence on the field. Additionally, Faisal Akram and Mehran Mumtaz have each taken five wickets, adding depth to the bowling attack statistics of the tournament.

As the National Champions Cup progresses, Shaheen Afridi’s dominant performances with the ball continue to be a key factor in his team’s success. His ability to consistently take wickets while maintaining a low economy rate has made him a standout player in this prestigious domestic competition.
