ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s armed forces have announced a significant military achievement following intense clashes along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. In a detailed briefing on Friday, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, revealed that a cross-border operation had resulted in the elimination of 274 Taliban fighters and inflicted heavy damage on enemy assets.

The operation, officially designated as “Operation Ghazab lil-Haq,” was launched in response to escalating hostilities and aimed at dismantling Taliban strongholds near the border region. Lt-Gen Chaudhry explained that the offensive was meticulously planned and executed using precise military intelligence to target key Taliban positions, minimizing collateral damage while maximizing operational effectiveness.

the military spokesperson, the operation inflicted severe losses on the Taliban’s infrastructure and manpower. A total of 73 Taliban posts along the border were completely destroyed, while Pakistan’s forces successfully captured 18 additional posts, thereby strengthening border security. Furthermore, the offensive resulted in the destruction of 150 tanks and armored vehicles belonging to the Taliban, significantly weakening their mechanized capabilities in the region.

Lt-Gen Chaudhry also highlighted the human cost of the clashes on the Pakistani side, confirming that 12 soldiers lost their lives in the fighting, 27 were wounded, and one soldier remains missing. The military has expressed condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers and reiterated its commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s borders against insurgent threats.

This operation marks one of the most substantial military engagements in recent times along the Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier, reflecting Islamabad’s determination to counter Taliban aggression and maintain regional stability. The military’s strategic approach, combining intelligence-led precision strikes with ground operations, underscores its evolving tactics in addressing cross-border militancy.

As tensions persist in the border areas, Pakistan’s military continues to monitor the situation closely, prepared to undertake further actions to secure the nation’s territorial integrity. The success of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq is expected to serve as a deterrent against future incursions and reinforce Pakistan’s resolve in combating insurgent groups operating along its borders.
