The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast fresh rainfall accompanied by dust-thunderstorms in various parts of the country over the next two to four hours. This weather update was issued on Monday afternoon, highlighting the likelihood of gusty winds and thunderstorms in isolated areas.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, regions such as Swat, Kalam, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Dir, Kohistan, Buner, Shangla, Kurram, Kohat, and Waziristan are expected to experience these conditions. Similarly, northeast Balochistan districts including Zhob, Musakhel, Barkhan, Kohlu, Sibi, Mastung, Qalat, and Khuzdar are forecast to be affected by the same weather system.
Several districts in northeast Punjab, namely Sialkot, Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Dera Ghazi Khan, Khanewal, Toba Tek Singh, Dera Ismail Khan, and Rajanpur, are also anticipated to witness rainfall with dust-thunderstorms. Meanwhile, parts of southeast Sindh such as Larkana, Jacobabad, Naushahro Feroze, Ghotki, and Kashmore, along with Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, and neighboring areas of Kashmir, may receive similar weather impacts.
In a significant development, the PMD has urged residents to exercise caution due to the prevailing weather conditions and to remain attentive to official weather updates to ensure safety.
