    Pakistan and Maldives Pledge to Strengthen Bilateral Ties and Cooperation

    In a significant development aimed at reinforcing diplomatic relations, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar engaged in a detailed telephone conversation with his Maldivian counterpart, Iruthisham Adam. The discussion underscored the mutual commitment to further enhance the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two South Asian nations.

    During the call, Ishaq Dar extended his congratulations to Iruthisham Adam on the occasion of the Maldives’ upcoming 61st Independence Day, highlighting the importance of this milestone in the island nation’s history. This gesture reflected the warmth and respect that characterize the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and the Maldives.

    The conversation also covered a broad spectrum of regional and international developments, with both ministers exchanging views on issues of shared interest. Notably, Iruthisham Adam expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s active role in facilitating mediation efforts aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States, signaling trust in Pakistan’s diplomatic influence in the region.

    Both foreign ministers reaffirmed their determination to deepen bilateral ties and to continue collaborative efforts that promote cooperation across various sectors. They agreed on the importance of maintaining regular communication and staying engaged on matters of common concern, ensuring that the partnership between Pakistan and the Maldives remains dynamic and responsive to evolving challenges and opportunities.
