New FIR Filed in Lahore Over Crash Linked to Foreign Women Case

In Lahore, authorities have registered a new police case related to a vehicle collision that resulted in the rescue of two foreign women reportedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted. The investigation is ongoing as officials attempt to reconstruct the events surrounding the incident.

The case involving the two foreign nationals—a Spanish and a Dutch woman—initially emerged when an FIR was filed at Lahore’s Defence Police Station against five suspects, including Muhammad Raza Dar, who is the grandson of a prominent political figure. The suspects face allegations of kidnapping, extortion, and sexual assault.

In a significant development, the new FIR was lodged after the owner of a vehicle involved in the crash came forward. The complaint was made by the vehicle’s driver, Usman, who stated he was driving from a private housing society towards Bhatta Chowk when another vehicle collided with his car on Airport Road and then fled the scene. Usman reportedly contacted the emergency helpline 15 multiple times before police arrived.

The collision caused damage estimated at approximately Rs300,000. Following the crash, the two foreign women exited the suspects’ vehicle and sought refuge in a nearby shop, where they remained until police officers arrived and rescued them. This latest FIR pertains specifically to the traffic accident and is separate from the main criminal investigation into the alleged kidnapping and assault.

Earlier, Lahore Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Faisal Kamran stated that the two women had arrived in Lahore on June 29 and were allegedly abducted shortly after their arrival. He emphasized that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had instructed authorities to handle the case strictly on merit, ensuring that anyone responsible would face consequences.

Investigators utilized Safe City cameras, mobile phone data, and vehicle registration records to track and arrest four suspects on July 2. The women’s statements were recorded before a magistrate, and after medical examinations and legal procedures, they were permitted to leave Pakistan. Meanwhile, the primary investigation into the kidnapping, extortion, and sexual assault charges remains active.
