Senior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and the US Consul General were present at the celebration. During his address, the US Consul General expressed gratitude to the Punjab government for hosting the event and emphasized the positive trajectory of Pakistan-US relations.
He specifically recognized Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their pivotal roles in advancing peace initiatives, including Pakistan’s support in the US-Iran peace process. Furthermore, he highlighted ongoing collaboration between Pakistan and the United States in the field of education.
In her remarks, Maryam Aurangzeb conveyed the congratulations of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to Americans worldwide on the occasion of the 250th Independence Day.
