Passport Home Delivery Service Launched to Ease Applicant Process

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGI&P) has introduced a new passport home delivery service across Pakistan, utilizing a private courier company to facilitate applicants. This initiative aims to simplify the process by allowing applicants to receive their passports directly at their registered addresses, eliminating the need to visit passport offices for collection.

In a significant development, this service was launched under the guidance of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi as part of broader efforts to enhance public convenience and improve the efficiency of passport issuance. The move follows closely after the implementation of cashless payment systems at all passport offices nationwide, which has already reduced waiting times for applicants.

Minister Naqvi highlighted on his social media platform that applicants no longer have to endure long queues or extended waiting periods to complete payments. He emphasized that these reforms were initiated on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and proudly noted that his team has successfully executed these improvements.

He described these steps as part of a larger vision to make public services faster, more transparent, and more accessible for citizens. Looking ahead, Naqvi expressed optimism about achieving further milestones in service delivery. He also commended the dedication and performance of the entire passport department, encouraging them to maintain their excellent work.
