Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar engaged in a telephonic discussion on Monday with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. The conversation focused on expressing condolences for a tragic helicopter crash in Saudi Arabia that resulted in the loss of 14 lives.

Dar extended sympathies on behalf of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Pakistani government, and the people of Pakistan. He described the incident as a deeply saddening tragedy and emphasized the strong fraternal bonds shared between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

In response, Prince Faisal expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s swift show of solidarity and acknowledged the support offered by Pakistan during this challenging period. The two ministers also engaged in detailed discussions concerning recent developments in the region, sharing serious concerns about the evolving situation and underscoring the importance of maintaining stability.

Looking ahead, both sides anticipate expanding bilateral cooperation. Prince Faisal conveyed his intention to visit Pakistan at the earliest mutually convenient time. Welcoming this announcement, Deputy Prime Minister Dar expressed hope that the high-level visit would take place soon, highlighting that it would serve as an opportunity to comprehensively review Pak-Saudi relations and accelerate ongoing economic and strategic collaborations.
