    Israel’s Defence Minister Katz Vows to Stay in Lebanon Despite US Pressure

    In a firm declaration, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel intends to sustain its military presence in Lebanon regardless of any demands from the United States to withdraw. This stance highlights Israel’s strategic priorities in the region, particularly concerning security threats emanating from Lebanon. The decision underscores the complex dynamics between Israel and its allies, especially the US, which has historically played a significant role in mediating Middle Eastern conflicts.

    Israel’s continued presence in Lebanon is tied to its efforts to counteract hostile groups such as Hezbollah, which Israel views as a major security threat. Katz’s remarks come amid heightened tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border, where sporadic clashes and political instability persist.
