In a firm response to circulating speculation, Rana Sanaullah, the Political Adviser to the Prime Minister, categorically denied any plans to replace the current prime minister. Speaking on Saturday, he criticized certain groups for spreading unfounded rumours aimed at undermining the country’s political stability.

When questioned about the possibility of a leadership change following the budget announcement, Sanaullah dismissed such reports as entirely baseless. He clarified that no discussions or considerations regarding a change in the prime minister’s office were underway at this time.

Highlighting the current government’s achievements, Sanaullah praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s effective governance. He pointed out that under Sharif’s leadership, Pakistan has been earning increased respect and recognition on the global stage. He warned that initiating debates about leadership changes during such a critical period only benefits those who seek to destabilize the state.

Furthermore, Sanaullah emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to maintain dialogue with opposition parties, underscoring a commitment to political engagement despite challenges. Reflecting on his own experiences in opposition, he noted the difficulties faced, including legal cases filed against him, illustrating the often turbulent nature of political life in the country.
