Light Rain Brings Pleasant Weather to Karachi Sunday Night

Light rain showers were observed across multiple parts of Karachi late Sunday night, bringing relief to the city’s weather. Areas including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, University Road, and Sohrab Goth experienced intermittent drizzle under the prevailing conditions.

Meanwhile, rainfall was also recorded on Abul Hasan Isphani Road, Rashid Minhas Road, and surrounding localities, extending the light precipitation to additional sections of the metropolis.

In a significant development, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) noted that a seasonal low pressure system was positioned over northern Balochistan and adjacent regions. Additionally, a westerly wave was influencing the northern parts of the country, while moist air currents from the Arabian Sea were penetrating central and southern areas.

The forecast indicated that most parts of Pakistan would experience predominantly hot and dry weather, with partly cloudy skies expected over the upper hilly regions. Duststorms and thunderstorms were predicted in central Punjab, the Potohar plateau, and southern Balochistan districts such as Awaran, Panjgur, Khuzdar, and Kech during the forecast period.

Notably, while hot and dry conditions were expected to continue across the majority of the country, isolated rain, wind, and thunderstorm activity was anticipated in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and adjoining mountainous areas.
