England triumphed over New Zealand by 115 runs in a gripping low-scoring Test match at Lord’s, showcasing a commanding all-round performance. Chasing a target of 254 runs in the fourth innings, New Zealand was bowled out for just 138, unable to withstand the persistent pressure from England’s bowlers.

Ollie Robinson emerged as the standout player, delivering a remarkable bowling display across both innings. He claimed seven wickets in total, effectively dismantling the New Zealand batting order and playing a pivotal role in England’s victory.

England’s batting showed marked improvement after their first innings total of 140 runs. In the second innings, they scored 226 runs, setting a challenging target for the visitors. New Zealand struggled throughout, scoring 113 runs in their first innings and failing to mount a significant resistance in the second innings despite some brief resistance.

Among England’s batsmen, Harry Brook led the first innings with 56 runs, supported by Ben Duckett’s 19. The second innings saw important contributions from Zak Crawley, who scored 57, and Joe Root, who helped stabilize the innings.

New Zealand’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Kyle Jamieson, who took five wickets for 62 runs, while Nathan Smith also made valuable breakthroughs. Despite their efforts, the visitors could not contain England’s pace attack and ultimately succumbed to a comprehensive defeat at the historic Lord’s ground.
