UAE Women Secure Fourth Fastest Win in T20I History at ACC Cup

The UAE women’s cricket squad made a remarkable start to their 2026 ACC Women’s Premier Cup campaign by recording one of the quickest wins in Women’s Twenty20 International history. In Malaysia, they dominated Saudi Arabia with a 10-wicket victory.

After dismissing Saudi Arabia for a mere 27 runs, the UAE openers swiftly chased down the target in less than an over, completing the innings in just five balls. This outstanding performance places them among the fastest victories ever achieved in women’s T20 internationals.

Only a select few teams, including Rwanda, Tanzania, and Thailand, have managed to secure wins in just four legal deliveries, making the UAE’s triumph one of the most commanding in the format’s history. Notably, this result surpassed the UAE’s own previous fastest win, which also came against Saudi Arabia during the Gulf Championship in Oman four years ago, where they finished with one ball to spare in the second over.

This time, the UAE’s bowlers dismantled the Saudi batting lineup with ruthless efficiency, allowing the openers to complete the chase in record time. Their dominant display not only highlights their strength but also sets a powerful tone for their campaign in the Premier Cup.

With this emphatic victory, the UAE women’s team has established themselves as strong contenders in the tournament, boosting their chances of qualification as they advance.
