MQM-P Urges PM Shehbaz to Address Karachi’s Power Outages Caused by K-Electric

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has strongly condemned K-Electric for the persistent electricity outages affecting Karachi. The party highlighted the severe impact of frequent power cuts on the daily lives of residents and the city’s economic activities. They emphasized that the current situation demands urgent attention from the federal government to ensure uninterrupted power supply. MQM-P has formally requested Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to step in and address the crisis promptly.

Karachi, being Pakistan’s largest metropolis and economic hub, relies heavily on stable electricity for its industries, businesses, and households. The ongoing loadshedding has disrupted commercial operations and caused widespread public dissatisfaction. The power utility’s failure to manage supply effectively has raised concerns about infrastructure and governance. MQM-P’s appeal underscores the political pressure mounting on authorities to find sustainable solutions to Karachi’s energy challenges.

In a significant development, MQM-P’s call for intervention reflects broader frustrations over urban management and service delivery in Karachi. The party’s demand for Prime Minister Shehbaz’s involvement signals the issue’s escalation to the highest levels of government. Resolving Karachi’s electricity woes is critical not only for the city’s stability but also for maintaining investor confidence and social harmony. The situation remains a key test of the government’s capacity to address urban infrastructure problems swiftly and effectively.
