    MIT Innovates Affordable Lithium Extraction Technique for Battery Industry

    Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have pioneered a novel approach to lithium extraction that significantly reduces costs. Lithium, a key component in rechargeable batteries, is in high demand due to the rapid growth of electric vehicles and renewable energy storage solutions. Traditional lithium extraction methods are often expensive and environmentally taxing, limiting supply and increasing prices globally.

    In a significant development, the MIT team’s new technique promises to make lithium extraction more efficient and affordable by utilizing innovative chemical processes.
