Iran Denies President Masoud Pezeshkian’s Resignation Claims as False

Iran has categorically denied recent foreign media reports suggesting that President Masoud Pezeshkian has resigned, labeling these claims as entirely unfounded and fabricated. In a statement shared on the social media platform X, Elias Hazrati, head of Iran’s Information Council, emphasized that there is no truth to the rumors about the president stepping down or submitting a resignation.

Hazrati condemned the sources spreading these false narratives, asserting that their intent is to sow political instability and confusion within the country. He warned that such attempts to destabilize Iran would not be successful.

Government officials have confirmed that President Pezeshkian continues to carry out his responsibilities without interruption, ensuring the smooth operation of state affairs. This clarification was issued following reports from some international outlets claiming the president had tendered his resignation to the Supreme Leader’s office amid alleged internal disputes over governance and authority.

In a significant development, Iranian authorities have firmly rejected these assertions, reaffirming that the administration remains stable and functioning normally. The government maintains that there has been no disruption or change in leadership, underscoring the continuity of state operations.
