Punjab Government Declares Three-Day Eid-ul-Azha Holiday Schedule

The Punjab government has officially declared a three-day public holiday across the province in celebration of Eid-ul-Azha. The holidays are scheduled to begin on May 26 and will continue through May 28, allowing residents to observe the festival with their families and communities.

This announcement comes as part of the provincial administration’s preparations to facilitate smooth observance of the religious festivities. All government offices and affiliated institutions throughout Punjab will remain closed during these dates, adhering strictly to the holiday schedule issued by the authorities.

In a related development, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government had earlier declared a four-day public holiday for Eid-ul-Azha, during which all government offices and institutions in the province will also be closed. This reflects a coordinated approach among provincial governments to accommodate the significance of this important Islamic festival.

These holiday declarations underscore the importance of Eid-ul-Azha as a major religious event in Pakistan, marked by communal prayers, charitable activities, and family gatherings. The government’s timely notification ensures that public sector employees and citizens can plan accordingly for the celebrations.
