QUETTA: Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), declared on Monday that Pakistan’s destined rise cannot be hindered by externally sponsored terrorism, propaganda, or disinformation campaigns. Addressing officers and troops stationed in Balochistan, he underscored the resilience of the nation against such threats.

During his visit to Quetta, the army chief engaged with officers and faculty at the Command and Staff College before meeting with formations deployed in the region. He commended the institution for its rigorous training, intellectual strength, and professionalism, noting that its graduates consistently excel through outstanding performance and dedication to their duties.

In a significant development, the field marshal highlighted the fast-changing nature of modern warfare, stressing the need to adapt to emerging technologies, multi-domain operations, and enhanced tri-services coordination. He urged officers to maintain continuous training for themselves and their troops to meet future battlefield challenges while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and operational readiness.

Reviewing the security situation in Balochistan, he reaffirmed the Pakistan Armed Forces’ commitment, supported by the people, to eliminate terrorism nationwide. He warned that hostile elements attempting to disrupt Pakistan’s progress through proxies and propaganda would ultimately fail due to the state’s resilience and the unity of its citizens.

Emphasizing the importance of lasting peace and stability in Balochistan, the army chief advocated for a people-centric approach that combines inclusive development, improved governance, and security measures. He also praised the Government of Balochistan’s efforts to promote public welfare, socio-economic growth, and stronger relations between the state and local communities.

Furthermore, he lauded the high morale, operational preparedness, and professional dedication of the officers and troops maintaining peace and the writ of the state in the province. Upon his arrival in Quetta, Field Marshal Munir was welcomed by the commander of Quetta Corps, marking the start of his visit focused on strengthening security and development initiatives in the region.
