Pakistan Condemns Drone Attacks on Saudi Arabia, Affirms Strong Support

Pakistan has issued a strong condemnation of the recent drone attacks targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, describing these acts as a grave violation of the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Foreign Office emphasized that such attacks undermine regional stability and peace, highlighting their unacceptable nature under international law.

In its statement, Pakistan reaffirmed the deep-rooted fraternal relationship it shares with Saudi Arabia, expressing full solidarity with the Saudi leadership and its people during this challenging period. The declaration underscored Pakistan’s commitment to standing firmly alongside Saudi Arabia, pledging unwavering support for the kingdom’s security, peace, and prosperity.

These developments come amid reports suggesting that Pakistan has deployed a significant military contingent to Saudi Arabia, including 8,000 troops, a squadron of fighter jets, and an air defense system, as part of a mutual defense agreement between the two countries. However, official confirmation from either Saudi or Pakistani authorities regarding this deployment remains absent.

Notably, the drone attacks are viewed as attempts to destabilize the broader region, raising concerns about escalating tensions and the potential impact on peace efforts. Pakistan’s response reflects its strategic interest in maintaining regional security and its longstanding alliance with Saudi Arabia, which plays a crucial role in the geopolitics of the Middle East and South Asia.
