    King Charles Announces Plans to Ban Conversion Therapy in UK Parliament

    In a significant development, King Charles addressed the UK Parliament to announce his support for banning conversion therapy, a controversial practice aimed at changing an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity. This move aligns with growing public and political pressure to outlaw such therapies, which have been widely condemned by medical professionals and human rights organizations for their harmful effects. Conversion therapy has been linked to severe psychological distress, including depression and anxiety, particularly among LGBTQ+ individuals.
