Karachi Police recently apprehended Anmol, known as Pinky, on charges of operating a widespread drug distribution network throughout the city. She is currently held in police custody under a three-day physical remand authorized by a local court in Karachi South, following a case filed by the police.

Authorities arrested Pinky in Karachi’s Garden area, where she was wanted in multiple cases. Officials recovered weapons, cocaine, and other narcotics valued at approximately Rs1.5 million from her possession. Investigators revealed that during the arrest, they seized 1,540 grams of cocaine along with 6,970 grams of raw drug material.

Police confirmed that Pinky had been managing an extensive drug supply operation in Karachi, with cases registered against her under the Anti-Narcotics Act from 2021 through 2024. Initially, the court had sent her to judicial custody until May 25, denying physical remand. However, after a renewed plea emphasizing the necessity to trace the cocaine supply chain, examine her financial dealings, and verify her criminal history, the court approved a three-day physical remand.

During the investigation, authorities retrieved several audio messages from Pinky’s mobile phone. One voice note reportedly contained a warning to her associates about an impending arrest. She allegedly instructed them that if she were detained or killed, a male associate would continue operations using the same phone number, ensuring the network remained active.

In a significant development, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South was removed from the inquiry related to Pinky’s court proceedings. DIG West Irfan Baloch has been appointed to oversee the investigation into all matters arising from her court appearance, including alleged breaches of protocol. The DIG has been ordered to submit a comprehensive report within three days, while the Additional Inspector General has cautioned that strict disciplinary action will follow against any officials found negligent or involved in misconduct.

Investigation documents presented before the court confirmed multiple Anti-Narcotics Act cases against Pinky between 2021 and 2024. While the prosecution sought physical remand until May 25 to facilitate tracing the drug supply source and financial networks, the court initially opted for judicial custody but later granted physical remand upon reconsideration. Notably, Pinky did not allege any police torture or mistreatment during the hearings.

Separately, Lahore Police disclosed that Pinky had previously lived in Lahore before going into hiding. Her brother, Riaz Baloch, was arrested in connection with a drug case registered by Kot Lakhpat Police. Investigations into a drug trafficking attempt in Shadab Colony involving a luxury vehicle led to Pinky’s name surfacing, with her brother reportedly identifying her as the woman who fled the scene. She had been residing in a private housing area in Kot Lakhpat with her siblings prior to her disappearance.

Punjab Police, however, stated that Pinky does not have any criminal record in their official provincial database.
