Unauthorized Man Enters Parliament, Posts Video Against Hanif Abbasi

ISLAMABAD: A significant security breach occurred at the Parliament House in Islamabad when an unauthorized individual gained access to the highly secured premises and recorded a video statement accusing Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi. The video was subsequently circulated on social media, raising alarm over security protocols.

The individual reportedly moved through several restricted areas inside the Parliament building while filming serious allegations against the minister. This incident has sparked widespread concern about the effectiveness of the security screening and internal access controls at the Parliament House.

Normally, entry into the Parliament requires rigorous identity verification, official authorization, and security clearance. However, this breach has raised pressing questions about how the person bypassed these stringent procedures and accessed sensitive zones within the building.

In response, the Parliament administration has initiated an immediate investigation and established a special committee to thoroughly examine the incident. The committee’s mandate includes identifying all security lapses and holding responsible parties accountable.

Investigators have secured CCTV footage from all entry and exit points and are scrutinizing how the individual entered the premises, whether anyone facilitated his access, and if he was accompanied by any member, staff, or officials involved in protocol.

The inquiry will also assess if the breach resulted purely from negligence or if internal collusion played a role in granting unauthorized access to the institution.

This event has caused significant concern among political and media circles, with experts warning that such a security failure could pose a serious threat to national safety, beyond just administrative shortcomings.

Following the incident, a substantial enhancement of security measures at the Parliament is anticipated. Further reforms and additional safeguards are expected to be implemented once the inquiry committee delivers its report.
