Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for an urgent investigation following a violent attack on the residence of former provincial minister and PML-N MPA Ayub Gadhi in Toba Tek Singh, Punjab. The assault resulted in four fatalities and left Gadhi injured.

In response, the prime minister instructed authorities to swiftly identify and apprehend those responsible, emphasizing the importance of delivering justice. He described Gadhi as a dedicated member of the PML-N and expressed deep concern over the attack, which occurred while the MPA was attending to public grievances.

Shehbaz Sharif offered prayers for the deceased and extended sympathies to their families. The incident took place a day earlier when unidentified assailants opened fire at Gadhi’s residence, critically injuring him and killing four of his associates.

Following the attack, the Toba Tek Singh district police officer confirmed that Gadhi was transferred to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment. Police have launched raids to capture the perpetrators involved in the shooting.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif demanded a detailed report from the relevant authorities regarding the attack. She condemned the violence, expressed sorrow over the loss of life, and ordered the immediate arrest of those responsible.

The chief minister also extended condolences to the bereaved families and instructed officials to provide the best possible medical care to the injured. She prayed for the swift recovery of Ayub Gadhi and others wounded in the incident.
