CENTCOM Highlights Neutrality of Arabian Gulf Ships, Promotes Safe Passage

In a significant development, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) has emphasized that the ships currently operating in the Arabian Gulf represent 87 different countries and should be regarded as neutral parties amid rising regional tensions. Admiral Brad Cooper, the CENTCOM Commander, highlighted that these vessels are innocent bystanders and not involved in any conflict.

Over the past 12 hours, US forces have actively communicated with numerous ships and shipping companies to promote uninterrupted maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. This effort is part of a broader strategy known as “Project Freedom,” which aims to safeguard commercial vessels navigating this narrow and strategically vital waterway.

The Strait of Hormuz is a crucial chokepoint for global oil shipments, making its security a top priority for international trade and energy markets. Admiral Cooper noted that the initiative aligns closely with the directives of President Donald Trump, who has expressed a commitment to ensuring the safe passage of ships in the region and maintaining stability along key global shipping routes.

Meanwhile, the ongoing diplomatic and military efforts underscore the importance of cooperation among nations to prevent disruptions in maritime commerce. By reinforcing the neutrality of vessels from multiple countries and encouraging safe navigation, CENTCOM seeks to mitigate risks and uphold the free flow of trade through one of the world’s most critical maritime corridors.
