Tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated once again, with US President Donald Trump hinting at potential military strikes and Iran responding with a strong declaration of military preparedness. This renewed exchange of threats raises concerns about increasing instability in the region.

In a recent statement, President Trump suggested that military action against Iran remains on the table, emphasizing that Tehran has yet to face substantial consequences for its activities. He mentioned that new proposals concerning Iran are being considered, though he expressed doubts about their likelihood of acceptance.

Trump also highlighted that the US retains an “unlimited” capacity to negotiate with Iran, while surprisingly describing the situation near the Strait of Hormuz in a relatively positive light. Additionally, he announced the withdrawal of over 5,000 US troops from Germany as part of wider strategic realignments.

Meanwhile, Iranian Army Chief Amir Hatami responded firmly to the heightened tensions, stating that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to confront any threats. Under the guidance of Iran’s Supreme Leader, the military remains at a heightened state of readiness.

Hatami emphasized that Iran’s military is now more capable and better organized than ever before, committed to resisting any aggression or conspiracies. He reaffirmed the military’s dedication to protecting national sovereignty, securing borders, and maintaining overall stability.

He further noted that the experiences from past conflicts, especially the extended Iran-Iraq war, have reinforced the necessity of strong defense capabilities. Efforts to continuously improve military readiness are ongoing, underscoring Iran’s resolve to defend itself against any external threats.
